Area 56
Dear Parent,
We are writing to let you know about exciting changes we are implementing in our youth ministries that will affect your 4th, 5th or 6th grader. Effective June 4, we are promoting all the students that currently attend Area 56 (Tree of Life Church’s 5th and 6th grade ministry) into the JV Remnant program on Sunday mornings to join the 7th and 8th graders. Those same students will be attending Remnant in the WELL on Wednesday nights at 7pm. The 4th grade students will remain in Faith Factory through their 5th grade year, extending Faith Factory to include all children 1st-5th grade.
We have been prayerfully considering these changes for some time and are excited about the move for several reasons:
1. The age breakdowns (1st-5th and 6th-8th) mirror the school districts in our area.
2. This relevant shift is important to us for 2 reasons:
a. Ministry that reflects the peer group can better prepare them for success in that group.
b. Being surrounded by those ages will give the student positive peer influence to emulate.
3. This change will increase our capacity for growth, enabling us to reach more children.
4. We are in process of developing a Leadership Program for our 5th graders remaining in Faith Factory. This challenging program will bring them to a new level as we train them for Servant-Leadership in the Body of Christ.
Your Junior High student will also go to the Well after Sunday morning worship in the Main Sanctuary, there we have a small group ministry prepared for them.
If you are the parent of a 5th or 6th grade student going into JV Remnant, we invite you to our Junior High Preview Night, June 4th, in the Well, starting at 6:00pm. We will have dinner prepared for you, your spouse, and your student(s). Pastor Ryan will be casting vision and answering any questions you may have concerning this change.
We will be holding a special service for all our 5th and 6th grade graduates. This will take place in Area 56 for both Sunday morning services on May 25.
As the staff at Tree of Life Church, we strive to provide the most effective ministries possible and thank you for joining our efforts to “Lead Kids to become fully devoted followers of Christ”.
