One of the most powerful aspects of Christianity is that we can be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves. As Christians, we are called to reach the WORLD! We are called to go to the nations and spread the love of Jesus Christ. As a Christ follower, we are commanded to reach out to the orphans, the poor, and the widows. We are challenged to make a difference in this world by using our gifts and resources to serve others and reach the lost.

The Bible says "But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!'" Romans 10:14 (NLT)

Missions isn't necessarily about traveling, customs, and passports. It isn't about seeing the sites in exotic regions, however beautiful they may be. Missions is about obedience to Christ's command and sacrificing our life and comfort for those that have been forgotten by the rest of the world. Missions is about helping people, but most importantly, missions is about being a part of something bigger than ourselves.

Our missions program exists to educate, engage and mobilize the church to serve together in ways that glorify God, proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and to express the love of God. We do this through supporting missionaries, short term missions trips and partnering with ministries that have a vision to reach others with the gospel. In obedience to the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew. 28:18-20 we desire to see God’s life love and power spread to the many nations of the earth.
A short term trip could be several days or as long as a couple of weeks. This type of trip would involve things such as distributing food, helping to build a church, building homes for the homeless, ministering in prisons and orphanages, working with medical and dental teams, or being part of a ministry team that preaches and teaches in the streets and/or at church leadership and pastors conferences. Short term mission trips are also a great idea for 1st time involvement in missions work. You will learn how you can best be part of what God is doing through your participation in a short term trip.
